if i have a picture that i took with a digital camera, and it was really dark, how would i go about making it to where you could see the people, but not make the picture look all funky? im not sure if this is the place to ask, but i dont know where else i WOULD ask this question.

ive spent a couple minutes here and there over the past couple days just making icons when im bored. ive made five so far, and im not sure if i like the technique im using or not. so im posting the few i have here, and am hoping for some criticism *hint hint*

i finally got a laptop for christmas, well actually christmas eve (my family has a tradition of opening one present the day before christmas). im so excited. and the cool thing about the computer is that it has adobe photoshop CS on it. much better then the dinky trial version i had of some other program that i cant even remember the NAME of. so i have deleted all my icons that i posted up here (since i hate them so much) and have now started from scratch. cant wait to add more icons (working on some now)
